WHAT IS A DOULA?
Doula comes from the Greek language and means “a woman who provides guidance and support.” There are doulas who specialize in birth and others in death. They are called end of life-or-death doulas or death midwife / midwives.
Kecia Rey

End of Life Doula
My name is Kecia Rey. I am originally from Atlanta and moved to Northeast Georgia in 1999 with my husband and two children. We relocated in 2022 to Daviston, AL to be closer to family. I bring 30 years of experience as a caregiver, CNA, and doula in private and homecare agency settings. I have also worked closely with hospice agencies with mutual clients.
My passion is rooted in the experience of navigating end-of-life care for my loved ones. It was an honor to help, listen, comfort, and care as they moved through the final phase of their life. There is such a rewarding and fulfilling feeling helping those on their final journey.

Testimonials
We cannot express the heartfelt thanks for the support that you provided to our family during the passing of my mom. Your assistance was above and beyond and was delivered with care and compassion. Having your calm presence was above anything I could have asked for during the most difficult time.
You were such a big help during our time with you! Thank you so much!
